Who you are dealing with

Powernotch: Battery Monitor is developed and published by Monto bleu, Heidebergstraat 14, 3120 Tremelo, Belgium. The app is distributed by Apple through the Mac App Store, and Apple is the seller of record for the app and for the in-app purchases.

Your licence

Your right to use Powernotch is granted under Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. That agreement governs the licence, and where anything on this page conflicts with it, Apple's agreement applies. In short, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on the Apple devices you own or control, and you do not get ownership of the app itself.

These terms only add the points Apple's agreement does not cover: what Pro is, how the trial works, and who to go to for a refund.

What Pro unlocks

The free version shows the battery of the Mac itself, the side panel and the menu bar icon. Powernotch Pro adds:

• Accessories in the panel, such as keyboard, mouse, trackpad, AirPods, headphones and controllers.
• The detail card that appears when you hover over a device.
• Low-battery notifications, per device, with your own threshold.
• Device options, such as hiding devices, combining AirPods into one ring and showing disconnected devices.

Features can change as the app is developed. We may add to Pro or improve it, but we will not move an existing free feature behind the Pro purchase.

Pro is a one-time purchase

Powernotch Pro costs € 5,99 once. The price may differ by country, and Apple shows you the exact amount before you confirm. It is not a subscription: there is no recurring charge, no yearly fee and nothing to cancel. Pro stays unlocked for the Apple Account that bought it, and you can restore it on your other Macs with Restore Purchase in the Pro window.

The 7-day trial

The trial gives you every Pro feature for 7 days. It needs no payment details, no sign-up and no account. It does not convert into a paid purchase when it ends, and nothing is charged automatically. When the 7 days are over, the Pro features switch off and the free version keeps working, unchanged, for as long as you want. Buying Pro is a separate, deliberate step.

The trial is meant to be used once per Apple Account.

Refunds

Because Apple is the seller, Apple handles all refunds. Monto bleu cannot issue one, see your payment or reverse a charge. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple decides on the request under its own policy.

If something in the app is broken, please write to powernotch@montobleu.com first. That is usually faster, and we would rather fix it.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. Apple applies this right for App Store purchases, through the same Report a Problem page. Note that this right can end early once the content is made available to you immediately and you have agreed to that, which is how in-app purchases usually work. Apple's own terms describe how it handles this in your country.

The app is provided as is

Powernotch reads what macOS and your accessories report. Some devices report their battery level rarely, inaccurately or not at all, and macOS itself can be wrong about the time remaining. The app is provided as is, without any warranty beyond what Belgian and European consumer law requires. We do not promise that it will be free of errors, that it will work with every accessory, or that it will keep working unchanged after a macOS update.

Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity, are not affected by anything on this page.

Liability

Powernotch is a small tool that shows battery levels. Do not rely on it alone for anything critical. To the extent the law allows, Monto bleu is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, for lost work, or for a device running out of power. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Privacy

What the app reads, what it sends and who processes it is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date. Changes apply to your use of the app from the moment they are published, and they never take away a right you already have in a purchase you already made.

Applicable law

Belgian law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Leuven, Belgium, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in the country where you live, and to the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.
